Canadian teen pop star Justin Bieber, an early Twitter advocate of Jepsen’s No. 1 Canadian single, Call Me Maybe, along with his girlfriend Selena Gomez, announced via a video message late Tuesday afternoon that Jepsen has been signed to School Boy Records, the label run by his manager Scooter Braun.
The announcement was made on the MuchMusic program, New. Music. Live.
Justin said “When I was actually in Canada, I heard a song on the radio called Call Me Maybe, and I immediately fell in love with the song.” “I thought it was a smash. And I just wanted to tell everybody that we signed her, so everyone go check her out, a song called Call Me Maybe, and she’s going to blow up.”

On February 2, Justin Bieber was spotted and photographed by an alleged “stalker” on board a plane bound for the Dominican Republic. The Teen Dream reportedly boarded the aircraft in Miami where he’s been hanging out with friends– beach combing, skateboarding, and working on his eagerly awaited album, Believe. Then, for some unknown reason, he suddenly went to the airport and hopped a jet to the Caribbean isle.
Justin’s manager Scooter Braun made announcement via twitter:
