For a brief moment Wednesday it seemed that Justin Bieber’s “Baby, baby, baby” woes were over. But these hopes were dashed with news that Mariah Yeater’s new legal team is trying to work on a settlement behind closed doors.
Bieber’s attorney denied that negotiations are taking place to TMZ: “There have been no settlement discussions and there never will be.”
The gossip site has obtained text messages that allegedly indicate Yeater believed her ex-boyfriend is her child’s father. To Bieber’s lawyer, “This information proves Mariah Yeater fabricated the story.
“Our independent investigation indicates Ms. Yeater never meet Justin, she has consistently identified another man as the child’s father, and Ms. Yeater and her co-conspirators hatched this scheme in order to extort money from him and to sell her story to the media.” (TMZ)
